Day 58 (Sept 20, 2024) Burlington, VT to Stowe, VT

When planning this trip we ended up with a gap this weekend. We looked to see if backroads had anything available and they had a 3-day biking weekend in Stowe, VT.  

Our day started in Burlington, with a hunt for the best parking lot for the Lambo (we landed on the Hilton's) and then we went over to Hotel Vermont to meet the BackRoads group.  After a brief introduction we jumped into the van and were shuttled to picnic lunch in Middlesex. The safety talk was next and then we went to our bikes to test them out. 

Today's ride was 28 miles from Middlesex to our hotel in Stowe, The Green Mountain Inn.  The ride included some pretty steep uphill climbs, a few dirt roads and a bit more traffic than we had hoped but it was also very beautiful and peaceful (in the low traffic sections).
