Our flights to Cartagena were really smooth and we met Elis right after getting our bags and were then shuttled to our hotel. Elis gave us an hour before we were to meet in the lobby to head to dinner. We had been promised a true Cartagena meal.  We were dropped on a narrow street in Getsemaní, one of the more lively neighborhoods just outside of the walled city. It was super crowded and loud, lots of partying.   We went up to the rooftop of Mulatos Gastro Bar for drinks and dinner. Elis told us there is no healthy food in Cartegena, just good food. But we ordered ceviche and a curry sea bass thinking it would be somewhat healthy. We were successful on the ceviche- it was as expected, but the sea bass was unexpectedly deep fried (but tasty). We had an easy flight from Panama to Bogota Saturday afternoon and met our guide, Juan Carlos, after collecting our luggage.  Soboga (last weeks adventure) from the air leaving Panama  There were three others joining us from Norway and their flight was due to arrive an hour after ours. Despite the massive crowds in the Bogota airport Juan Carlos took us to an authentic Colombian restaurant that wasn't crowded (insider knowledge at work) while we waited for their flight.  After they arrived a van shuttled us to our hotel. Filip and I walked around the small square near our hotel  and then the 6 of us met for dinner in a popular restaurant called Crepes and Waffles. Sunday morning we left at 8am for a full day touring Bogota.
