Day 14 (Aug 7, 2024) Alberton PEI

Today was "setting day" in PEI- the opening day of Lobster season when the fishermen set their traps and the marinas were full of exciting energy.  After a trek up Westpoint Lighthouse, one of the 61 functioning lighthouses on the island, we had lunch Lighthouse Willy's Restaurant on a patio above a marina to watch the excitement.

We had a low-key afternoon on our patio enjoying a bottle of wine while we watched the resident egret by the Gulf of St Lawrence
